Awesome guest bloggers from GLI!

Hello people of the Internet!  We’re a group of seven girls from the Girls Leadership Institute who are working on an action project discussing the narrow view of beauty in mainstream media. We became interested in the narrow view of beauty in the media because it affects many people, both male and female, of all ages. People are constantly surrounded with these images but don’t  understand their full effect. We’ve had lots of fun going around and interviewing  people around the Bryn Mawr campus . Once we finished our interviews, we put together a short film on body image in the media. We plan to post it on You Tube as well as our Tumblr and Twitter (our twitter is @L4LbodyImage, Tumbler: real women real body’s.) We also got to play the fantastic game on Jesse’s website, which we all recommend you should check out! (It’s a bit addicting, actually.) After our experience producing a short film and playing the photo-retouching game, we now have a better sense of photo retouching in the media. We hope that you will take a few minutes to watch our short film and leave a comment. We had so much fun making it and we hope you will enjoy it! The video is coming soon!
